Happy New Year from CMS Live!

With this year already shaping up to be a busy one, we’d like to share with you some of our very best moments of 2018, some the fantastic new clients whose trust we have gained, and how we plan to make 2019 even better...

Expanding into the cities

2018 was a big one for the team at CMS Live, marking the year we rolled out our expansion plan and started offering our services throughout many UK cities. Forming valuable connections with nationwide businesses such as AKS Ward Consulting Engineers and Building Surveyors, as well as London-based companies like GKSS Safety Training, we were provided with many fantastic opportunities in 2018 to grow our business, share our technical experience, and really highlight the niche skills of the CMS Live team, who are helping to boost the online presence of some of the country’s biggest organisations.

Working with Local Companies

The opportunity to expand into cities in 2018 was hugely exciting. However, local businesses are still very much our core business, and we are proud to have made many valuable local connections within the past 12 months. Some of our favourite local projects throughout the year include working with the new Mayoress of Pendle to raise awareness of a number of charities that are close to our hearts here at CMS Live, as well as taking over management of the HAPPA and Shores Hey Farm websites as well as producing flyers, pull up banners, conferencing folders and not to mention their quarterly magazine. Look out for our artwork in the Cafe and around the farm.

Welcome Onboard

We are very happy to welcome onboard these well established local businesses with ongoing projects:

Startup Businesses

Brand new start up company websites have been at the core of CMS Live in 2018. We offer a variation of Start up packages to get new business started with an online presence. Here are a few we supported last year:

New eCommerce Development Work

In 2018, our team were tasked with a number of new eCommerce development projects, and we are excited to continue with this work well into the New Year.
Perhaps most notably, we have watched as our working relationship with Burnley-based FMW Distinct has gone from strength to strength, building a new Magento website for their Fristads workwear company.

Green pasture Farms have been a client since 2012 from building and hosting his first website which was built using CodeIgnighter. As his business has changed his website needed to be rebuilt to adapt to his new business model. Upon his request we built an eCommerce Wordpress website using WooCommerce.

The Electric Radiator shop has been built by us through one of our white label clients. This was one project where our client was happy for us to be involved with their client to make sure the website build ran as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The brief was to build a Magento website with custom development for functions such as the heating calculator.

We were also thrilled to work with many emerging brands, such as Tickla Tots, who required an eCommerce website that not only effectively promoted their fantastic new product range, but also appealed to both adults and children alike.

Continued Expansion of White Label Development

Working alongside other agencies and forming mutually beneficial relationships has always been important to us here at CMS Live.

We were pleased to be contacted by London-based Halliday Munro in 2018 when they needed the help of our team for a particular project. Halliday Munro enlisted the niche technical skills of our own Martin Starkie to manage the advanced web needs of their client, and Martin was happy to jump in as Senior Consultant. We are very much looking forward to continuing to share our experience in custom web development, digital marketing, and business-grade hosting this year.
