HAPPA
Advertisements, Posters & Magazines
We first started working with HAPPA back in 2016, and we’re honoured still to be providing services to this incredible team today. As a local charity based in Burnley, the work that HAPPA does across Lancashire, and throughout the country, greatly benefits our natural environment. The issues that the charity addresses are also very close to all of our hearts here at the CMS Live headquarters in Nelson.

We first started working with Martin, Gemma and the CMS Live team back in 2016, initially with our websites. It has always been important to HAPPA and Shores Hey Farm to work with local suppliers and representatives; to involve the community in the work of the Charity and its aims.Since then our working relationship has flourished and their understanding of our needs meant that in 2018 we approached them to design our bi-annual Members’ Magazine. We needed to find a team who would take into the consideration the needs of our readers, to cohesively bring together the two brands of Shores Hey Farm and HAPPA, in a modern, yet sympathetic, design.
The publication has gone from strength to strength since then. Many of our regular readers have commented on the fantastic new look of the Magazine and have enjoyed reading the new styled content. I believe a lot of this is down to the communication between us and CMS Live. They understand what is needed of an article, how it will best look on a page and how that will fit in with the flow of the detailed reports from all the contributors to the publication. We have a great pattern set up for sending and receiving information and for amendments and changes which are always delivered efficiently within our timeframes.
More recently CMS Live have been involved in designing a proportion of our new marketing artwork from leaflets that are distributed to attract tourists to Shores Hey Farm, to a flyer to advertise Birthday Party Packages, to a banner to advertise the Sponsorship Scheme, they have produced a range of products that deal with the versatility of the two brands to deliver any message in an attractive, well designed product.Julie Rickwood-Gan, Development Officer
Our Work
We have taken on the management of the HAPPA and Shores Hey Farm Burnley websites along with their graphic design and print work. We have produced flyers, pull up banners, conferencing folders and not to mention their quarterly magazine that gets posted out to all their members and is displayed to pick up a copy at the infamous local tourist attraction, Shores Hey Farm. Look out for our artwork in the Cafe and around the farm.

Leaflets & Flyers
We have produced many flyers and leaflets for both HAPPA and Shores Hey Farm to help them promote events, services and ways to help and donate to the charity.

Magazines & Booklets
One of our more recent tasks for HAPPA was to generate magazines that really spoke to their members. To achieve our goals, we needed to incorporate the instantly recognisable HAPPA logo and established colour scheme into the materials, while also ensuring that the information was easy for readers to engage with and digest through strategic layouts and visual cues. Design consistency was key to success, with the style of the magazine needing to be in keeping with other printed materials that we had prepared for HAPPA over the years, including flyers, pull up banners, conferencing folders and Shores Hey Farm leaflets.
