Nelson Town Deal
Custom WordPress Website
After working on many projects associated with Pendle Borough Council, we were contacted by the Senior Regeneration Officer and asked to build a website that would enable them to bid for a new ‘Town Deal’ which would give Nelson an opportunity to receive a regeneration fund of up to £25million from the government.

The brief for The Nelson Town Deal website design was to show off a range of fantastic images of Nelson and to display what Nelson has to offer.
The website had to be clear and concise to enable to user to understand what the Town Deal was and how it worked.
There was to be a page where users could Have their say and share their views on what they valued about Nelson. This was to be done by building a lengthy form with multiple choice questions and was only to be displayed between two certain dates.
Responsive & Dynamic Design
All the layouts and elements were designed to fit into the bespoke layout and enhance the user experience. Finally these were tested across all devices to ensure a smooth browsing on every device.
Online Brand development. As this was a new initiative for Nelson Town Council the website required branding and simple logo. A simple typeface logo was requested first of all, then we started building colour palettes and typography to build a brand identity.
The aim was to communicate the optimism that the project should invoke. While the mostly monochrome colours keep the website looking professional, the pink adds some playfulness and vibrance to the branding.
By using session caching we can offer Petty’s clients the option to browse using 3 different formats: map, grid and list views.
We would work alongside Petty once again to build and assemble a fantastic new website that will help propel the company into a new era.
Updated branding was to be used and applied to new features that allow multiple browsing possibilities.
A clean and informative, yet easy to use website. This was created by using bold blocks of pink and shades of black to divide the content. The brand colours were applied consistently throughout with the pink elements adding vibrancy to what is otherwise a monochrome website.
Custom layouts, from grid layouts to list styling. Theses were created, where required, in order to display information clearly.
The purpose of the website is to inform the public. This meant that all content and graphics had to be well-considered to ensure maximum usability.
Custom CSS Styling was used to create several dynamic elements and maintain the Nelson Town Bid branding across the site.
Custom Booking Form Development
As part of the development of the Nelson Town Investment Plan, they needed to ask for public views on a draft vision for Nelson and a long list of project ideas for which funding of up to £25 million from the Towns Fund could be sought. The brief included multiple online forms to be designed and built to collect this information from the public.
