Custom Build eCommerce Website
The Electric Radiator Shop in Leeds were looking for a Website Design company who could help them build a complete bespoke eCommerce website that would cope with traffic spikes as adverts showed on the TV.
They needed the website to be completely manageable in-house so they could keep it up to date with stock additions and fluctuations.
The Brief
Electric Radiator Shop needed a new website as their previous one had become very dated, and needed it before the winter season.
The brief required the website to be modern and easy to navigate. The website also had to display all the relevant information and custom attributes in an easy-to-understand way.
Not to mention the custom dropdown bar on product pages and a handy calculator to estimate room size.
Custom Layouts
By using custom CSS we have created unique, dynamic layouts.
With a huge array of images available to use, we utilised these by having them take centre stage on the website.
Custom CSS was used in order have images visible throughout the website whilst being responsive. The history timeline was also developed to be responsive and change orientation based on the browser width.
Bespoke Layout
A clean, minimal yet informative and easy to use website was created by using the red branding combined with subtle greys. This was combined with image blocks and content on a light grey to separate the sections.
Custom Attributes were created and set with conditions that allowed them to show only on relevant pages.
The 'Heating Calculator' was custom coded using PHP to return relevant radiator for the customers room size, making the shopping experience easier and reducing browsing time.
