As part of our web design Pendle services, we started working with local housing developers Barnfield Homes following a successful series of projects with their sister company, Barnfield Construction.
We’re absolutely delighted with our new website. The brief was very intricate with a number of different functions being required both within the live website and off site for the future. It was really important to ensure the site is future proof in the fast changing face of digital marketing and technology. The Brief
The brief from Barnfield Homes was for a brand new website, covering everything from website design to marketing, with a primary objective of increasing usability compared to their existing website.
The key objective of the new website was for it to be an optimal marketing tool, with a high-touch approach providing frequent opportunities for users to contact Barnfield about their properties for sale, arrange viewing appointments, and request more information on upcoming developments.
The website needed to provide users with the right information at the right time, so the customer journey and flow was something we worked on very closely with Barnfield Homes.
One of the customer paths would lead visitors through a simple process, having them select a house type that would best suit them, then use the interactive development map to see which plots were still available for sale with that house type. Finally, the process would culminate with a contact-focused call to action, encouraging visitors to get in touch with the team at Barnfield Homes.
Interactive Popup Forms
Pop up forms feature heavily on the site, on the home page and development pages, providing touchpoints to engage with potential customers.
Pop ups are used in the upcoming Housing Developments section so that customers can sign up for information as soon as it becomes available. This offers exclusive access to upcoming development announcements, whilst also allowing Barnfield Homes to target potential buyers.
Property Search Forms
Barnfield Homes wanted a search function so that potential home buyers could easily find a home best suited to their needs.
CMS Live developed the new website to function around several core interactive elements, such as the search, to help customers navigate the site easily and access desired information with just a few clicks.
Bespoke Layout
A clean, minimal, informative, and easy- to-use, website was created, influenced by the existing branding, and utilising the orange/purple colour scheme along with the autumn leaves motif that have featured on their recent marketing publications.
Mortgage Calculator
As homebuyers, many of the users of the Barnfield Homes website will be looking for funding options, or be in the process of applying for a mortgage. Including a mortgage calculator on the Barnfield Homes website allows buyers to get an idea of what they can afford, and therefore which houses are accessible to them, without having to leave the website.
Within the calculator page, CMS Live also included another touchpoint, enabling customers sign up for Mortgage Offers and giving them access to news on great opportunities from Barnfield Homes’ partners.
Interactive
Development Maps
In order for visitors to view Barnfield Homes Developments in their physical, environmental context, we created an interactive map.
All homes within the development are marked with a circle, with visual indicators showing house type and property availability. Hovering over these markers shows a popup with further information on that particular house. Clicking on these pop ups takes the customer to the specific property’s information page.
Traditional Advertising
Alongside the broad online presence we created across social media, traditional campaigns were also created for Barnfield Homes, spanning multiple print media formats including magazine adverts and flyers. Following the four successful website projects, CMS Live was tasked to design Barnfield Construction adverts to be placed in the home game programmes for Burnley Football Club, with whom Barnfield Construction are partnered. These adverts have been featured throughout the past two seasons.
Social Media Graphics
CMS Live have designed numerous social media campaigns for Barnfield Homes, including several for new housing developments.
Graphics for these campaigns were designed with consistent visual language and themes within the Barnfield Homes brand identity. The purpose of these campaigns was to engage the consumer with calls to action directing users towards the new Barnfield Homes website.
Adverts & Flyers
Campaigns we created for Barnfield Homes spanned across many types of marketing materials, from social media to print based marketing such as magazine adverts and flyers.
Video Marketing
Barnfield Homes needed a new and innovative way to introduce and show off their new residential developments outside of their website . They asked us to create a video showcase featuring walk-throughs of show homes and panoramas of local scenery. Once the developments had been filmed, we utilised the footage to create multiple videos, tailored to different campaigns and target markets.
Email Marketing
CMS Live have executed several email campaigns for Barnfield Homes, proving a direct channel to complement the other promotional material we have created.
