We have hosted and looked after The Rookery Roughlee website for 3 years. The website had got to a point where it was outdated and unusable. Danielle asked us to build her a new website but knew exactly how she needed it to work best for her customers.
CMS have hosted my old website for 3 years. It really needed an overhaul and to be fit for purpose. The Brief
The brief for The Rookery Roughlee website design was to ensure it provided all the information a potential customer would need before deciding to make a booking. Each page has a path to the booking calendar.
The booking calendar had its own specification.
Each date had to hold its own price.
Booking restrictions had to include customers only being able to start their booking on a Monday or a Friday with stay durations of only 3, 4, 7 or 14 nights.
Once the customer has made their date selection the calendar needed to add up the cost of their stay.
Restrict customers from booking too far in advance. Block disable future dates.
Responsive & Dynamic Design
The previously designed branding was built upon with serveral elements being added and applied across the website.
All the layouts and elements were designed to fit into the bespoke layout and enhance the user experience. Finally these were tested across all devices to ensure a smooth browsing on every device.
Bespoke Layout
A clean, minimal yet informative and easy to use website was created by using blocks of text and colour. As part of this we included several image sliders to incorporate multiple photos.
Informative
Local Attractions and Places of Interest were well researched and listed for potential holiday makers, along with details.
Image Sliders
Image sliders were made available to use across the site, to display the many photographs that show off the beautiful holiday home.
Custom CSS
Custom CSS Styling was used to create several dynamic elements and maintain the rookery branding across the site.
Custom Booking Form Development
Custom Development of the Booking Form was required, in order to allow control of the calendar and the unique block bookings required.
We built the booking enquiry form so that, once the customer has chosen their dates and is happy with the price, they will fill out the enquiry form and this will send the enquiry with the Booking details straight to The Rookery.
